Matt Flores is a German music producer, sound designer and DJ, who released his first track in 1996 on Ata Tak. Since then, he has produced music on an international level with nearly one hundred releases to his name under different projektnames :
(mighty flores, gushcollective, flowerz, goozebumpz, and more recently i:lyke, ghostnotez, Ai and of course matt flores). He has toured with live acts and played DJ gigs throughout the world, composed music for the internationally acclaimed television series CSI, for the DLR(german NASA), produced intro-jingles for the Carhartt Radio Show and worked extensively with dance and theater. In 2010 Flores composed music for 'catcher', a dance-theater piece by the choreographer Johannes Wieland at the State Theater in Kassel. Since 2010 he has worked for Solarplexus, an interdisciplinary art project integrating theater, video art and live music, as well as loops in Chur / Swizz. At the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus he composed scores for the interdisciplinary theater project Jeruville in 2009 and 2010, where he performed his own sound design live during the performances. The project fuses youth theater with contemporary dance and live music, and had its last installation in 2011 in Budapest, Hungary. He is also performing live with the harp player meike rath, with wich he produced tracks in 2011.

Velani means "Show Yourselves"
The lyrics are in Xhosa, and the Xhosa are a people that are deeply rooted in ancestor worship. The lyrics translate to "I speak to them that are of the past, they that visit me in my dreams. Appear and reveal yourself or Show Yourselves"

Der Bunker ist wie geleckt und frisch renoviert und das Maneki Music-Kollektiv hochmotiviert. Und was sich reimt (zumindest einigermaßen), ist gut.
Nach der Sommerpause wird nahtlos an die Parties im Frühjahr angeknüpft und mit Nick Höppner ein hochklassiger Headliner aus dem Hause Ostgut Ton erstmalig nach Essen geholt. Das musikalische Rahmenprogramm auf dem Mainfloor übernehmen Markus Freitag, seines Zeichens Veranstalter der auch über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus bekannten E-Lounge in Bielefeld sowie Maneki-Resident Cramp. Kontrastprogramm und Anlaufstelle für alle Freunde gepflegter Sleazy- und Italo-Disco Tunes ist der zweite Floor. Hier wird neben Bastian Zimmermann aka Pe.Po diesmal als Special Guest der Texaner Hillary Cardwell aka Majora aus seinem extrem reichhaltigen Repertoire an sehr raren und originalen Discopressungen schöpfen.
Für anspruchsvolle Optik auf dem Mainfloor sorgt einmal mehr Haus- und Hof VJ Eta Carinae.

this week I present you a mix by one of my favorite german artists......Ingo Sänger from Farside Records !

Ingo Sänger started DJing quite a while ago in the days when good clubnights included a mixture of Hip Hop, Dancehall, House & Breakbeats. He is part of the duo Westpark Unit (with Herb LF), is producing tunes with Henry L or Matt Flores and runs the label Farside Records in cooperation with his friend Winni Petersmann (on the rock).
From 1995 to 2004 he used to play on german radiostation WDR 1Live and founded the Treibhaus show with his buddy Steffen Irlinger. Since 2010 he is back on air with a monthly radioshow on Byte.FM. His DJ residencies include the Taxi Nights@domicil Dortmund and of course different DJ spots here and there.

There rarely is a musician to be seen, who feels home in more than just one musical genre the way Matthias Vogt does. Who else can claim himself being booked in the hottest clubs around the globe and aditionally being respected as a trained jazz musician at the same time?

Vogt holds a residency at Sven Väth’s Cocoonclub in Frankfurt. Being the incorporator of „Motorcitysoul“, a steady-increasing DJ- and Production-Duo, that Vogt founded a few years ago, and is now runnning succesfully with his brother in crime „C-Rock“ aka Christian Rindermann.

Under his Motorcitysoul-moniker he released records on highly-acclaimed house-imprints like Freerange, Simple, Aus, Stir 15 or Lofi-Stereo amongst others. Particularly in producing electronic music, Vogt is able to bring to account his experience as a jazz-musician in a way, that surely is unique in nowadays contemporary house-music.

Currently Vogt did some interesting solo-releases - for Chicago based Fresh Meat Records, UK Imprint Urbantorque, Paris/France deepest Komplex de Deep, plus Saw Recordings, the label of house-legends Satoshi Tomiie and Hector Romero. Matthias solo tracks tracks evoced postive feedback von of top dj's like Jimpster, Joris Voorn, Paul Woolford, Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink or Karotte. In late 2010 he will release EP's on Large Records, Intimacy and Dieb Audio.

In his „second life“ Vogt is a jazz-musician...

In 2002 the frankfurt-based label Infracom asked Matthias Vogt to realise a unique musical idea: The creation of an album that contains acoustic jazz-versions of originally elctronic tracks. A name for this project was easy to be found: [re:jazz]! Six (!) further albums followed and the former project quickly turned into a band. Lots of guest musicians where involved in this project, f.e. Vogt worked with Erik Truffaz, Joy Denalane, Nils Petter Molvaer, Till Brönner, Linda Carriere, Viktoria Tolstoy, Alice Russel, Nils Wogram and many more.

Vogt’s more intimate jazz project is his trio. In 2006 the first „Matthias Vogt Trio“ album „Changing Colours“ was released on Infracom. Their latest longplayer „Coming Up For Air“, saw the world in 2009. Both albums mainly features Vogt's very own original compositions.

About 10 years ago, located somewhere in the depths of North east England Deepdown Music's deep house maestro, Rory Cochrane, began to dabble in a little deck wizardry at parties with friends which set in motion his love for that deep soulful beat.

His love of house music continued to develop after becoming a regular spark in the crowds of the North Easts seminal house music rave joints such as, To The Manor Born, Shindig and The Sugar Shack.Rorys early influences were generally the whole West Coast house scene, in particular the early Naked Music vibe, Dubtribe Sound System, Miguel Migs, Dj Rasoul, Andy Caldwell, JT Donaldson & Lance Desardi.

Rory can be heard playing regular on Deepvibes Radio, London where he has been resident over the last year, his current Deepvibes series has been attracting a lot of attention and heavy support amongst listeners from around the globe and he is currently working on some of his own interesting production projects so watch this space and continue to absorb the magical sessions from Rory Cochrane's Deep House Therapy couch!!

after a long time RICONE from Offering Recordings is back with a fresh mix exclusive for my show ! ! !

Ricone is on a mission to bring u deep in the jungle.

Born in the early 70..s in Germany Ricone's musical influences came from listening to soul music as a kid. At the age of 10 he began to dj with 2 tape decks and found himself playing the hip hop from the early 80s.
The decade came to an end and Ricone was infected with the sound of house music. He began to produce music in the early 90's and after some releases on electronic music labels like Skam and Worm Interface he took his djing skills to the clubs. His productions delved more and more into the sound of deep house music with Idm Skillz.
